Ingredients:
Maida flour : 1 cup
Besan Flour : 1 tsp
Warm water : 1 cup
curd :3 tsp
Oil : For Deep Frying
Yogurt : 1 tbsp
Yellow Food Color : a pinch
For Sugar Syrup:
Sugar : 2 cups
Water : 1 cup
Cardamom Powder : 1/4 tsp
Lime juice : 1 tsp
Preparation:
1. Mix the all purpose flour, besan flour, curd, water and food color into a thick batter and keep aside for 2 hours. Heat the oil in a heavy bottomed pan and pour the batter in a steady stream into the pan to form coils.
2. Deep fry them until they are crisp and light golden brown from all the sides. Now prepare one string syrup by dissolving sugar in the water.
3. Remove the jilebi from the pan and immerse in the hot sugar syrup and leave for at least 3 minutes so that jilebi can soak sugar syrup.
4. Finally Jilebi is ready
